AJMAN — The Ajman Traffic and Licencing Department has decided to stop movement of heavy vehicles on Shaikh Zayed Road on their way to other Northern Emirates, Brigadier Ali Saeed Al Matroushi, Head of the Accident Section of the department, said.

AJMAN — The Licences Section of Ajman Department of Municipality and Planning recently issued licences for construction of eight towers by the end of the year on Ajman Corniche Road.

AJMAN — The Ajman Municipality has intensified its inspection campaign targetting food outlets, importers and manufacturers of foodstuffs because of the malpractices involved in the sale of stale food products in the local market which usually goes up during the summer months.

AJMAN — The Police Department of Ajman, in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, will soon initiate an Addiction Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre in Ajman. The increase in number of cases of drug addiction among youth in Ajman and other northern emirates, has necessitated this step.

AJMAN — More than 40 per cent of the Ajman sewerage network had been completed and sewerage pipelines are ready to be connected to buildings in some areas of the emirate by September this year, Ariel Edwards, General Manager of Ajman Sewerage Company, which is executing the project, has said.

AJMAN — Despite the majority of Ajman residents being Asians who can’t read and understand Arabic, the signboards on traffic safety in some parts of the emirate carry instructions in Arabic language only.

AJMAN — Developmental projects including roads shared between Sharjah and Ajman has been included in a new strategic plan which was launched recently by Shaikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Department of Municipality and Planning.

AJMAN – The Disputes Committee, which is part of the Ajman Department of Municipality and Planning, has been fully authorised to settle disputes over the 20 per cent increase in rents determined by an Amiri Decree No 6 issued recently by Shaikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, to regulate rents in the emirate.

AJMAN — Humaid Bin Rashid Foundation for Human Development, in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Youth, is organising its third round of the Students Council competition with focus on combating the trend of violence in high schools in Ajman.

AJMAN — Shaikh Ammar bin Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, issued yesterday Amiri decree No. 6 to regulate the rent of all types of real estates including residential, industrial and commercial buildings in the emirate.
